The Board of Directors at For Black Men Health Inc. is composed of dedicated individuals who are committed to advancing our mission of promoting the health and well-being of Black men. Our team brings a diverse set of skills and expertise to the organization, guiding us toward our goals and making a lasting impact in the community.

Founder & President
Derin Lindsey
Derin Lindsey is the Founder and President of For Black Men’s Health Inc., a nonprofit focused on promoting wellness for men of color through impactful events, resources, and practical solutions. His mission is to educate and empower men to prioritize their health.
A creative entrepreneur in New Orleans, Derin is also the founder of Derin Lindsey: The Brand, a graphic design and branding firm he started at age 19. His career began with designing for stage plays and events and has expanded to working with diverse clients, including celebrities.
In 2015, Derin began hosting networking paneled events for entrepreneurs. He later launched the Black New Orleans blog and founded Another Clothing Line in 2019.
In 2021, Derin’s life changed when he was diagnosed with Stage 5 Kidney Failure (ESRD), sparking his passion for health advocacy, especially for black men. Through For Black Men’s Health Inc., he organizes events like Black Men Yoga, Black Men Juice, Men Meditation & Mental Health, and Black Men Pray to improve overall wellness.
With over 14 years of entrepreneurial experience, Derin has served 1000+ clients, produced 40+ events, and remains a sought-after speaker on branding, marketing, and Black men’s health. He’s committed to impacting lives globally, helping men live Healthy: Mentally, Physically, Spiritually, and Financially.

Vice President
Dr. Devonte Williford
Dr. Devonte Williford is dedicated to helping others unlock and document their best selves. As the creative mind behind Rare Sighting Photography, he specializes in wedding photography, portraits, corporate and nonprofit events, as well as branding and marketing campaigns that capture timeless moments and transcend boundaries.
Born and raised in the vibrant city of Chicago, Devonte followed his dreams to New Orleans, attending Xavier University of Louisiana, where he earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2013. During his collegiate years, he discovered his passion for photography, an art form he has pursued with dedication ever since.
While he still wears the white coat occasionally as a pharmacist, you’ll most often find Devonte behind the lens, capturing life’s most beautiful and meaningful moments.
As the Co-Founder and Vice President of For Black Men’s Health Inc., Devonte is committed to educating and empowering men. Combining his expertise in pharmacy with his passion for health advocacy, he aims to help men live healthier lives through education, resources, and impactful initiatives.

Secretary
Markita Miller-Williford
Markita Williford is an accomplished medical professional and dedicated advocate for Black men's health. Currently serving as the Secretary for For Black Men Health, Inc., she plays an integral role in supporting the organization’s mission to improve health outcomes and raise awareness of critical health issues facing Black men. In her position, Markita brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to ensure smooth operations and effective communication within the organization.
In addition to her work with For Black Men Health, Markita has an established career in the medical field, where she applies her expertise to provide high-quality care and support to her patients. Her dedication to advancing healthcare, particularly for underserved communities, aligns with her passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Markita’s combined experience in both the medical and nonprofit sectors positions her as a valuable asset to For Black Men Health, Inc., where she continues to work tirelessly to promote health education, awareness, and advocacy.
